Teagan Hunt

How Did We Get Here?

Before the revolution to depose the mad King Theodoric, Garlean agents roamed free across Gyr Abania. They covertly wove themselves into every facet of Ala Mhigan society, wed its people, fostered families in the name of the great Garlean Empire - all so the city state would fall without question.Nona pyr Vitula was one such spy, operating under the lie that she and her cohorts were civilians shipwrecked on the Sea of Jade by Eorzean pirates. With no desire to return to Garlemald, they would work to make their way in Ala Mhigo, where some weeks later, Nona met salt miner Cerigg Hunt. Within the year, Teagan was born. Three years after that, Ala Mhigo had fallen. As a half-breed of no use, Teagan had no place as a toddler in the Castrum; she and her father were left behind when Nona returned to public life as a XIVth Optio. Though Cerigg had been blindsided by his wife's betrayal, they were treated like traitors themselves and soon left the city for a smaller settlement of workers around Loch Seld, leading to a largely impoverished life beyond that they had experienced under the King of Ruin. Despite this, theirs was a happy relationship, and Teagan made clear her desire to protect her new life from an early age. By fifteen, most members of the community ignored her half-Garlean heritage and welcomed her into the local watch. Two years went by in this way, though a lifetime in the salt mines led to Cerigg's health declining gradually. Teagan became the primary breadwinner between them - a role she was happy to fill until misfortune struck them in the form of a familiar face.Nona quo Vitula, now a Centurion, came for her daughter - suddenly accepted and desired back in the city, now that she was of age to be useful. Though she was consigned to the role of a houseservant within the Royal Palace, Cerigg was not so fortunate and soon departed to join the boiling Ala Mhigan Resistance. Teagan did not escape this role until well after the Eorzean Alliance freed the capital; in the midst of the siege, while the Warrior of Light battled the Viceroy and the rest of the city burned, a number of Garlean citizens including Nona and Teagan returned to the Empire. She remained in Garlemald until the Final Days, and has only recently been set free.

Hey there! You can call me Teagan, Cael, whatever works for you. This is a quick little rundown on how Teagan got to where she is today, excluding most details in the interest of exploration and brevity. If you experienced living under Garlean rule in Ala Mhigo, that's likely the only opportunity you'd have had to meet Teagan prior to now, but feel free to come with ideas! I've been doing this whole RPing thing since 2006, so I'm more than happy to chat and figure things out if necessary. Catch you in game! And for the naughtier folks, have an F-list link. I prefer story stuff, but eh.
